Life Coaching - What is it?

A life coach discovers and inspires clients on a vast spectrum of both personal and professional areas of their life. It is distinct from giving advice, consulting, counseling, mentoring and administering therapy. A coach helps with personal goals, transitions, team projects and professional projects. Together, the coach and client can get through the challenges.

Is life coaching for me?

Yes! Of course. You are here.

This is a time to be vulnerable and brave. I am an excellent fit for you if you are looking to work on your future with you - first. Next, we will explore wherever you want to go: relationships, wellness, and/or career. I am an excellent fit when it comes to the  "chaos" dynamic. I understand this very well, if you are looking to find another perspective, I will help you see it. As a coach, I serve in the capacity of your guide and together we can define your personal and business life.

Donna Oard, Executive Life Coach

I specialize in helping people with "focus" or "shiny object syndrome." It's not just you. It's the world we live in today. Let's get real, everyone is always starting something new or changing and that's ok.  Over the years I've had several careers: from a fast food service employee, executive assistant, sales executive, network marketer, owning a set of award-winning food trucks to real estate manager and investor to an Executive Life Coach.

Formal education ended at community college in Southern California. I embraced informal education, and possess a Phd from the "University of Hard Knocks," with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship. Having been a single parent for over 15 years, I learned the ins and outs of managing time, kids, money, teams, business, and faith.

As an Executive Life Coach it's never too late to start anything. My family taught me this. I also manage our rental business from the solitude of home. I live in Suffolk, Virginia with my husband Marty. We are empty-nesters with 3 grown adults (as of this writing no one is in prison), and two incredible grandchildren. I can only wish for more grandchildren - (please insert long-sigh here) no pressure, kids. Actually, we do have a house full of rescues: Harold and Biscuit (dogs) and James Mattis (kitty).

I specialize in "do-overs." I call them the "next best act" or "second act." Let's get real, everyone is always starting over and that's ok.  Over the years I've had several careers: from a fast food service employee, executive assistant, sales executive, network marketer, owning a set of award-winning food trucks to real estate manager and investor.

GIVING BACK

‒‒‒‒‒‒

End childhood hunger in America.  As a single parent, I did not make the best food choices; rather, the cheapest and easiest one.  The struggle to feed my children as healthy as possible was real. I want to partner with our food banks so others do not go through what I did with my sons.

One in six American children go to bed hungry at night. My husband and I know when a child doesn't worry about basic needs like food, they can open their minds and learn well. When a child learns well, we give them the opportunity to grow well. When a child grows well, they in turn, give well.

I give a part of the company profits to help end childhood hunger.
